StoreFix.com ships slatwall from 19+ slatwall ship points.  We do this to minimize freight damage.  For those competitors shipping from 1 location, the chance for freight damage increases dramatically as the distance from the plant expands.  The reason for this is that the 4'x8' pallet that slatwall is shipped on must be loaded in the trucks lengthwise.  Each time the material is transfered from one truck to another, the trucker is supposed to use LONG FORKS on their forklift to keep the pallet and its contents from being dropped and then becoming damaged.  However some trucking companies do not do this.  They attempt to transfer the slatwall pallet with short forks and they damage the material.  The further the slatwall ships from the plant, the more times it is transferred and the more likely it is to get damaged.

If you are ordering from someone where damage is likely, ask them what happens if your freight is damaged. 
If you prepay your freight with the order, Storefix.com will file any freight claims in the event of damage.  StoreFix.com will send replacement panels at our expense including freight.  StoreFix.com is responsible if the freight claim is denied by the freight company.  All you must do is hold the panels so the trucking company can inspect an/or pick up.

Some slatwall companies make you file the claim, pay for replacement panels in advance and you are stuck if the freight company denies the claim.
